Trümmelbach Falls
The Trümmelbach Falls in Switzerland are a series of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by a tunnel-funicular, built 1913, stairs, and illumination. Trümmelbach alone drains the enormous glacial walls of the Eiger (3970m), Mönch (4099m) and Jungfrau (4158m) with up to a spectacular 20,000 liters of water per second. The Trümmelbach Falls were opened up in 1877. The acoustically and visually imposing Trümmelbach Falls have always been a source of fascination for writers and other artists.
The hiking tour on mainly flat land leads from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg, past water gushing from vertical rock faces that are several hundred meters high. After such a memorable experience, take in the superb sight from the viewing terrace over a tasty, home-made speciality from the self-service restaurant.

Direction and Price Information
To get to “Trümmelbachfälle” by car from Berne/Basel/Zurich/Geneva, take freeway N6 or take N8 if you are coming from Lucerne/Zurich. Near Interlaken, take the Wilderswil exit and continue driving toward Wilderswil and Lauterbrunnen. About 3 km after passing through Lauterbrunnen you will arrive at Trümmelbach Falls.

Facilities
The Trümmelbach Falls facilities include a large, free parking lot, a self-serve restaurant with a scenic terrace and a small souvenir shop. The restaurant has drinks, both hot and cold, homemade specialties as well as cakes and pastries.
