Sierre – Temple of Wine
Sierre, small town is the capital of the district of Sierre situated on the French-German border of the canton of Valais in Switzerland. The town with around 300 days per year of sunny days is called Sunshine Town among people.
Sierre is less expensive city in whole Switzerland and also a leading wine producing region. The Swiss Wine Fair in Sierre offers you a tasty wine journey along with uncountable varieties of wines of the country. Not only tastings, at the beginning of September there are bunch of workshops, film screenings and artistic discoveries especially about wine.
The museum in Sierre reveals the wine’s cultural aspects, the wine trail’s focus is not only educational, but pleasure of local cellars, wine bars, and café-restaurants.
Sierre is less than 30 minutes away from the most famous winter destinations of Switzerland and in winter it is ideally famous for skiing, hiking or mountain biking. In summer, the Géronde Lake is a popular destination for the water enchanters.
