St Moritz Sky Resort
There’s nothing more thrilling than seeing St. Moritz’s mountain, Corviglia, covered in radiant white powder snow.
The St. Moritz village is situated at the center of the elongated Engadin valley, which the Inn River passes through. Like most resorts located in the Swiss Alps, you can bet that St. Moritz offers dizzying views of dramatic mountain peaks. The most accessible St. Moritz skiing can be found at the Corviglia and Corvatsch areas, which are the closest in proximity to Bad village.
St. Moritz is one of the best winter sports regions in the world, so it’s no surprise that it has already hosted two Winter Olympic Games and five Alpine Ski World Championships.
For skiing and snowboarding, there are 155 km of slopes and 8 km of ski routes available. 23 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,720 and 3,022 m.
There were no queues for the lifts and many of the ski runs were virtually untouched. Great weather, ideal snow conditions, and empty slopes were a very agreeable combination.
How to get there
The town of St Moritz is 86km south of Grisons capital Chur & 203km from Zurich by road. Milan Italy is 125km to the southwest of St Moritz as the crow flies. Gateway international airports are Zurich (ZRH) & Milan Malpensa (MXP). Both are linked to St Moritz by train.

St Moritz might be a little more expensive than some snow destinations in Switzerland & Europe, but it provides a superb ski experience for those with an open mind & a sense of adventure.
