The longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world
A pedestrian suspension bridge longer than the over Randa is nowhere to be identified. Walkers and hikers will traverse the Zermatt-Matterhorn Valley for about 500 meters on a walkway.
The Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge will complete the Europaweg from Grächen to Zermatt. The Zermatt Bridge is known by many to be the most spectacular two-day trip in the Alps. If you complete the whole route, you can appreciate views of the Matterhorn, the Weisshorn and the Bernese Alps. The suspension bridge can also be reached on foot from Randa. The longest pedestrian suspension bridge is nearly 500 meters long and spans the Grabengufer of Lärchberg on the Höüschbiel and 85 meters above the valley at its highest level.
Entry is free and traveler needs a certain lack of fear, since walkers cross a walkway with a grating that can be seen through.
